How many pass of shave to do with a cartridge razor

Thanks for the video. I have been using Gillette cartridge razors (the likes of Gillette proglide razor) for over a decade but recently become aware of the merits of safety razors (closer shaves, less irritation, more economical, less ingrown hairs, more eco friendly, etc). I was considering getting Gillette proglide power (never used the power variant) but now am also considering getting a safety razor. I am thinking of purchasing a safety razor to try it out. Since I'm new to safety razors, which safety razor would you recommend? Also found there's single edge safety razor and double edge safety razor, what might you recommend to a newbie?

The bic metal razor works real good . I really like them . Its quick smooth and fast. You just have to glide the razor like conductor controling a orchestra ..

Gilette Fusion 5 that is powered is nicer to use than the Mach 3 which used to be my go to.

Man I live in the desert so that old spice would be perfect. I’m using the avocado oil and cucumber super hydrating body wash. That hydro wash looks perfect. My skin is always dry.

I am very upset with this razor and these dull blades. Don't recommend this crap. I tried to use Japanese blades for better perfection but without success. The razor is crap.

I brought the schick xtreme 4 several days ago and started to use them two days ago. Now to my surprise they don't even cut my whiskers like the xtreme 3 does. It is like either the blades are not sharp or they don't make contact with my skin right. The xtreme 3 does a pretty good job at doing that . I can't even feel the blades at the xtreme 4 cutting my skin unless I shave at least three times over the same spot. I don't think that they are any good at it due to either the design , or the lack of blade sharpening. Oh yes I have been shaving for over fifty years and I know what is good and what is not. I am disappointed at this product and will contact the company and let them know about it.

Keep that Nivea aftershave balm in the refrigerator a you will be delightfuly surprised next time you use it 😊

Loved the SL....loved the handle on it as it was very comfortable in my hand and the blades did well as it was pretty mild. Was wondering what happened with them. Because they went down I gave the safety razor a try again. I now use a Rockwell 6C with an Astra Superior Platinum blade on the 3 plate. Great vid as always!

The cartridge was too small for 5 blades, it took forever to unclog. And the pivot was too stiff, I had to press really hard to get the benefit, which defeated the purpose. Great looking, and solid metal handle, but ultimately a disappointment.

I just don't get the cartridge thing, they are expensive and not efficient but people are a sucker to marketing. My Rex Ambassador would have taken all of that growth down to nothing in about a minute, one pass. Those cartridge companies are cashing in bigtime and people love giving money to them for those awesome commercials and turbo extreme packaging.
